Transport options

Good roads and sailing routes provide easy access to North Jutland from the rest of Denmark and Europe.

The north-eastern part of Nordsøstien can be accessed via the E45 or E39 motorways while the rest of the route can be accessed via main roads or smaller secondary roads.

The sailing routes to Hirtshals and Frederikshavn also provide immediate access to Nordsøstien.

See for example www.colorline.dk, www.stenaline.dk and www.kystlink.no. There are also daily departures to Læsø, see www.laesoe-line.dk

There are public buses to most towns along the route, see www.nordjyllandstrafikselskab.dk.

There are also train connections to most towns along Nordsøstien, see www.dsb.dk. In addition, you can plan your journey by bus and train with the help of www.rejseplanen.dk.

From Aalborg Airport there are connections to Copenhagen, Billund, England, Spain and Norway.
