Walking Nordsøstien – part of the North Sea Trail
From the old market town Ebeltoft the North Sea Trail passes Katholm on its way to Grenå. From Grenå, the North Sea Trail follows the coast to the lime cliffs at Karlby and Sangstrup. From here it goes inland to the village of Gjerrild but you can also choose to follow the coast north of Gjerrild Klint.

From Gjerrild Nordstrand you follow the beach nearly all the way to Udbyhøj where you cross Randers Fjord by ferry. The last part of the stretch to Hadsund runs through old agricultural land. There are several alternative routes and “loops” in relation to the Nordsøstien which deserve attention. |

Not least the old train route Gjerrildbanestien, and Lodsstien, which runs along Randers Fjord to the market town of Randers. From the connecting trail Molsruten you can walk to Århus from Ebeltoft Vig.
