Introduction
In Djursland the walking-route is marked as the Nordsøstien and follows the coast from Ebeltoft ferry quay in the south to Hadsund in the north, a total of 125 km.

The landscape you find in this northeastern part of the county is gentle and gradual, but also very varied. Sparsely populated by Danish standards but also with more space and more time to enjoy it than you normally find in East Jutland. Farming and fishing still play a role here, as they have done for centuries. |
You can both see and experience this in the area’s small villages, at the many manor houses along the coast and in the humble old churches which often guard a beautiful and fascinating treasure of impressive frescos. |
