Walking the North Sea Trail
The coastal path in Østfold constitutes a part of the North Sea Trail and is mainly established as a continuous trail of known paths and small roads. The path runs through areas where you can enjoy beautiful coastal nature and interesting historical monuments and relics. And, as already mentioned: The path takes you through the towns of Halden, Fredrikstad and Moss.

Getting there and public transport
Østfold is situated midway between the major cities of Gothenburg and Oslo. The Oslo-Gothenburg Railway line serves the four biggest towns of the county: Halden, Sarpsborg, Fredrikstad and Moss.
