Walking the historic western Ox Trail

The described western Ox Trail has a length of about 5 km and is designated an archaeological monument.

The historic Ox Trail can only be accessed on foot.

The hollow of the Ox Trail is still clearly visible at many points and offers interesting observations of the flora and fauna.

The historical western Ox Trail is linked to unmetalled cycle tracks in the state forest ”Am Langenberg“.

It is also possible to join the border cycle path and subsequently the North Sea Cycle Route, via the parish of Leck and through the KarlumerForest in a northerly direction.
