Accessibility / public transport
The Netherlands has an outstanding public transport system. The finely-meshed rail network has stations close to many parts of the route.
|
Where you can’t get to the route by train, the regional bus company will generally have a good timetable with bus connections to even the smallest villages. Friesland, Groningen and Zeeland however are thinly populated. The trains and buses travel less frequently in those provinces. |
For information about train connections and timetables see the website of Nederlandse Spoorwegen [www.ns.nl]. The Openbaar Vervoer (Public Transport) Nederland site [www.9292ov.nl] provides timetables both for trains and for connecting bus transport. |
