To walk along the North Sea trail/Bohus trail
The Swedish legal right of access to private land in open country allows you to ramble freely and pick berries and mushrooms in the forests and fields.

The trail runs though through fields which have been made accessible by various owners. This means that a lot of trust is placed in you when you walk here. Please therefore bear in mind that the Swedish legal right of access to private land in open countrynot only gives you rights but also obligations and responsibilities.Certain stretches of the trail pass through nature reserves where special regulations apply. |
The trail is marked with orange paint on trees or poles. The Bohus trail is divided into stages approximately corresponding to day or weekend trips. At the beginning and end of each stage there is an information board. Along the trail there are resting-places and shelters. The trail is a path in the forest or alternatively follows forest tracks. In some cases the trail may follow a road. The trail passes through wetlands here and there. The trail is not difficult for anyone of average health who is fully mobile. Nor does such a walk require any special equipment. The important thing is to wear comfortable shoes, preferably boots. Raincoats and a reliable rucksack may also be valuable. Bring drinking water with you if you like. |
