Getting here and public transport

Good road links give easy access to the Moray Firth coastal fringes – from the A96 north of Aberdeen, or via the A9, which reaches the Firth at Inverness, then continues northwards.

Regular coach services also make coastal travel straightforward.

The area is well served by rail, with inter-city services reaching Inverness via Aberdeen and Perth, with onward connections to the far north.

Inverness is also an important Scottish airport, with Wick airport giving further options.
