Walking Drivvejen part of the North Sea Trail
The North Sea Trail or Drivvejen, as it is called south-west of Limfjorden, follows the old cattle routes which ran from north to south.
These were the historic trade routes which people in western Jutland used when they were bringing cattle and other goods to the markets in Holsten in North Germany. |
Via Drivvejen, ramblers can relive these old trade routes. The marked route runs both from Thyborøn and from Thyholm via Oddesund down over heath landscape to the national border and continues to Amt Karrhade in Germany. Drivvejen in the Northern part of West Jutland, follows existing paths and smaller roads and leads the rambler through magnificent natural and cultural landscape. The route passes through desolate countryside, agricultural areas, villages and towns. |
