West Jutland, south

Introduction

For hundreds of years cattle dealers drove their cattle along the long route from Limfjorden in the north to the marshland of southern Jutland for fattening before being sold on to Germany and Holland. The road they took is called Drivvejen.

Walking Drivvejen – part of the North Sea Trail

Parts of the route in the southern part of West Jutland are intact and follow the historical road, in other places the rambler is led along parallel paths or has to go along the tarmac for short stretches in order to follow the authentic trail.

Transport options

It is easy to reach Drivvejen by public transport.

Where can you sleep and eat

There are hotels or pubs offering accommodation in nearly all the towns along Drivvejen.
