Getting there and public transport

Bergen is the gateway to the entire county of Hordaland.

You can get here by boat, see:
www.colorline.no, www.fjordline.no, www.hsd.no;
by train from Oslo, see: www.nsb.no,
you may fly here from other parts of Norway and Europe, see: www.sasbraathens.no, www.norwegian.no, www.wideroe.no,
or travel here by bus or car.

The company HSD runs the majority of ferry links and coach
services serving the outer municipalities that the North Sea Trail
weaves through.

For more information, see: www.hsd.no. Bergen is mainly served by the bus company Gaia Trafikk, see www.gaiatrafikk.no.

If you arrive in you own boat, you may find information about guest harbours on the web page http://www.visithordaland.no/visartikkel.asp?art=11
