How do I get to and from the trail

The Bohus trail is long and passes through stretches of forest and sometimes pure wilderness. If you have access to a car, you can start anywhere where a road crosses the trail and where there is a possibility to park.

There are connections to public transport, bus or train at many places along the trail. South of Gothenburg (Göteborg) Partille and Mölndal are suitable starting points as well as Kungälv a bit further to the north.

Uddevalla, in the middle of the trail, is an easily accessible starting point, as well as Munkedal and Strömstad further to the north.

Information about public transport can be found on Västtrafik’s homepage www.vasttrafik.se.

Tourist information can be found on Västsvenska Tourist Board’s homepage www.vastsverige.com from where you can go to the homepages of the municipalities involved.

The respective municipality is responsible for their part of the trail where Västkuststiftelsen, www.vastkuststiftelsen.se has a co-ordinating role.
