Walking along the Baltic trail/North Sea trail in southern Scania

The Baltic trail is marked by blue painted rings on trees, poles and blue wooden arrows. A blue N on small signs along the trail and on information boards at the start and finish of partial stretches shows that the trail is part of the international walking-tour system, the North Sea trail.

The Scania trail is a link between the Baltic trail and the Halland trail. You can find more information about the Scania trail at www.skaneleden.se.

The Baltic trail is divided into stages which approximately correspond to day or weekend trips.

Each of these stages can be studied and printed out. Click here! At the beginning and end of each stage there is an information board.

The trail is varied. It follows small country and forest roads and here and there runs through wetlands. The route is not difficult for anyone of average health and no special equipment is required.

The Swedish legal right of access to private land in open country permits you to ramble freely but it also entails obligations and responsibilities.

The Baltic trail in southern Scania follows public roads and goes through fields which have been made accessible by various owners. This means that a lot of trust is placed in you when you walk here.
