How do I get to and from the trail

Halland is between the metropolitan regions of Gothenburg and Malmö/Copenhagen and has well-developed communications when it comes to flying, car, train and boat traffic.

With the help of these general means of transport you can easily reach the Halland part of the North Sea trail.

The E6/E20 motorway stretches throughout the entire county and the west coast train follows the coastal strip from north to south.

The train connects the larger cities in the vicinity of the trail: Laholm, Halmstad, Falkenberg, Varberg and Kungsbacka.

For more information about trains visit SJ’s homepage www.sj.se.

The flight company Skyways www.skyways.se operates the Halmstad-Stockholm stretch and Stena Line has a regular ferry service between Grenå in Denmark and Varberg in Halland www.directferries.se.

In order to get to the trail itself, in most cases you can take the car or bus.

There are good bus connections in Halland and you can read more information about this on Hallandstrafiken’s homepage www.hlt.se.
