Walking the North Sea Trail

The North Sea Trail follows the coastal stretch of the Cleveland Way National Trail.

The path hugs the cliff top for much of the way and the dramatic views provide an exhilarating walk.

The route is well sign posted and easy to follow but we recommend that you purchase the Ordnance Survey Explorer Map 27 before you set off. This is available from the NorthYork Moors National Park's online shop.

You will find accommodation and small shops at all the villages along the route, with the towns of Saltburn, Whitby and Scarborough providing more major services.

For more information about the North Sea Trail in the North York Moors, including short circular walks, visit the local North Sea Trail website.

The North York Moors National Park website and the Cleveland Way website also includea wealth of information to help you discover the area and plan your trip.
