Walking Drivvejen – part of the North Sea Trail
From Ribe, Drivvejen follows the low-lying agricultural landscape with the dikes towards Vadehavet on the horizon, past villages and churches before the route goes towards Skærbæk through forests with traces of old industry and military installations.

Then comes Gasse Høje at 55 metres, an open plateau with traces of historical civilisation from the distant and more recent past, and Vongshøj at 62 metres above Løgumgårde, from where there is a view from the tower of most of South Jutland. |

The route continues to Nr. Løgum along the river Brede to Løgumkloster with a Cistercian abbey church. Further to the south the historic roads are followed by the ancient natural habitats of Kongens Mose and DravedForest. On the road to Tønder you can see Kristkirken’s spire and the water tower from far away. The town with its old houses is the gateway to the Marshland and Vadehavet (Waddenzee). The route continues through the marshland to the national border at Sæd and on to Karrharde. Drivvejen is well marked and there are exciting round trips along the route.
