Introduction

The North Sea Trail is also called Drivvejen in South Jutland. It runs south from Ribe through the region along several historic roads.

The main route is approximately 70 km in total and passes from open marsh landscape through ancient forests over high island hills with expansive views of the area to the Tønder marshland with large water courses.

The landscape alternates between agricultural areas, natural areas and occasional villages.

The route passes through the monastery town of Løgumkloster and the marsh town of Tønder with many historic buildings and culture traces.
