Accessibility / public transport

The Netherlands has an outstanding public transport system. The finely-meshed rail network has stations close to many parts of the route.

Where you can’t get to the route by train, the regional bus company will generally have a good timetable with bus connections to even the smallest villages.

Friesland, Groningen and Zeeland however are thinly populated. The trains and buses travel less frequently in those provinces.

For information about train connections and timetables see the website of Nederlandse Spoorwegen [www.ns.nl].

The Openbaar Vervoer (Public Transport) Nederland site [www.9292ov.nl] provides timetables both for trains and for connecting bus transport.
